Deeper Dive: The Science of Natural Occlusion vs. Petrochemicals
For those who want to look under the hood, the difference between Strokinut’s 100% natural formulation and legacy petroleum-based greases comes down to molecular biology and lipid interaction with the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of your skin).
Traditional bate greases rely heavily on petrolatum and mineral oil—byproducts of petroleum refining. These synthetic hydrocarbons are 99% occlusive. While that sounds great for lubrication, it essentially shrink-wraps the skin. By creating an entirely impermeable barrier, petrolatum halts Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) completely, trapping sweat, heat, and dead skin cells.
